Have you ever had one of those mornings when everything about the atmosphere told you to stay still?
The weather is just right. The breeze is cool. The sky is slightly overcast, but the sun is still peeking through. Your bed feels extra comfortable, and honestly, getting up does not feel like the move.
That was me recently.
It was one of those mornings when I did not really want to get up. But I did.
And that simple act reminded me of something powerful:
You have to show up for your vision.
Not when everything is perfect.
Not when you feel completely ready.
Not when life is calm, easy, or convenient.
You show up because your vision still matters.
Showing Up Does Not Always Look Pretty
Let’s be honest. Sometimes showing up for your vision looks rough.
It may not be polished.
It may not be perfectly planned.
It may not look like the highlight reel you imagined.
Over the past several months, I have been showing up through some challenges. And truthfully, it has not always looked pretty. Some days, it looked like doing the best I could with what I had. Some days, it looked like pushing forward even when I felt tired, stretched, or uncertain.
But here is the key:
I showed up anyway.
And sometimes, that is the victory.
As visionaries and entrepreneurs, we can be so hard on ourselves. We want everything to be excellent, and yes, we should strive for excellence. But there is a difference between excellence and perfectionism.
Excellence moves you forward.
Perfectionism keeps you stuck.
Stop Letting Perfection Sabotage Your Progress
One of the biggest ways we sabotage ourselves is by waiting for everything to be perfect before we take action.
We wait until the website is perfect.
We wait until the offer is perfect.
We wait until the graphics are perfect.
We wait until the timing feels perfect.
We wait until we feel confident enough.
But while we are waiting for perfect, time keeps moving.
Your vision does not need perfection from you. It needs participation.
Sometimes you need to stop overthinking, stop over-editing, stop delaying, and simply get some things done.
That does not mean you throw excellence out the window. It means you stop using perfection as an excuse to avoid progress.
We Are Halfway Through the Year
It is early June, and we are halfway through 2026.
For some, that may feel exciting. For others, it may feel uncomfortable because you know there were things you planned to do by now that have not been completed.
Maybe you started strong in January, but life happened.
Maybe your focus shifted.
Maybe challenges came up.
Maybe your consistency slipped.
Maybe you have been showing up for everyone else, but not fully showing up for your own vision.
Here is the good news:
The year is not over.
You still have time to regroup.
You still have time to reset.
You still have time to refocus.
You still have time to finish strong.
The second half of 2026 can still be the greatest part of your year, but it will require a decision.
You have to decide to show up.
Refocus on What Matters Most
This is a good time to pause and ask yourself:
What vision have I been avoiding?
What goal needs my attention again?
What did I start but not finish?
Where have I allowed perfectionism to slow me down?
What is one thing I can do this week to get back in motion?
Do not overwhelm yourself by trying to fix everything at once. Start with one focused action.
Make the phone call.
Post the content.
Update the offer.
Finish the outline.
Send the email.
Schedule the meeting.
Revisit the plan.
Take the next step.
Small action still counts as action.
Your Vision Is Worth Showing Up For
Visionaries, entrepreneurs, and purpose-driven leaders, this is your reminder:
Your vision is still valid.
Even if the first half of the year did not go the way you planned.
Even if you had to navigate some hard things.
Even if your progress has been slower than expected.
Even if you do not feel completely ready.
Show up anyway.
The second half of the year can be filled with clarity, movement, growth, and renewed focus, but it starts with your willingness to take action.
Do not wait for perfect.
Show up for your vision.
Because the fact that you showed up may be the very thing that moves you into your next level.
Blessings,
Jacqueline Turnbo aka Jacqueline Deneen, Your Partner On Purpose
